Symptoms
On boot or login, the system plays a beep tied to the empty CAC reader.
Likely cause
ActivClient's NoReaderWarning is enabled.
Fix
1. Win+R > regedit.
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ActivCard\ActiveClient\Notification\NoReaderWarning.
3. Set 'Enable' from 1 to 0.
4. Reboot.
