Newly installed DoD Root CA shows a red circle with white X in Keychain Access.
Likely cause
Cert was added without an explicit trust override.
Fix
1. Open Keychain Access > login > All Items.
2. Double-click each untrusted DoD Root CA (3/4/5/6).
3. Expand Trust > 'When using this certificate' > 'Always Trust'.
4. Close - enter your Mac password when prompted.
5. The icon turns to a light blue circle with a white plus.
